LANCASTER – Callen Trucking owners Corey and Katie Allen prioritize teamwork in their business operations.

The couple established their business seven years ago using just one truck.

"Over the past seven years, we have expanded from a single truck to 13 trucks," expressed Katie Allen. "Our aim is to reach 15 trucks by the end of this year. Corey and I make a great team. Corey is actively involved in driving with the team, while I handle office tasks and human resources. Together, we have elevated our business to a new level."

Katie Allen and her husband started the business while she was employed in the corporate sector and he was working at a plant in Columbus. The company currently employs 15 people.

Corey Allen emphasized the importance of diversity for company growth, drawing from his own successful experience.

"You need to be able to work from any location and at any time," he stated. "The nature of the task is not important, the key is to have the capability to complete it."

Those positions involve working at the Intel construction site in New Albany and various logistics construction sites in central Ohio, transporting materials such as gravel, dirt, and asphalt.

> "The growth in Columbus is significant," noted Corey Allen. "It's currently one of the fastest-growing cities in the US and is likely to continue this trend for the next four to five years. Columbus and central Ohio, situated at the intersection of Interstate 71 and Interstate 70, have excellent logistics, making it a strong location for development."

He mentioned that Callen Trucking operates around the clock during the summer and fall seasons.

"We receive requests for more trucks than we currently have available," mentioned Katie Allen. "Having the ability to purchase all the trucks we desire would significantly simplify our job."

Corey Allen enjoys fishing in Florida when he is not at work.

"We both enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and bringing our son along," shared Katie Allen. "Real estate, fishing, and boating are our favorite activities to unwind. Despite these hobbies, managing our responsibilities is a full-time commitment, requiring attention 24/7, year-round."
